I have a Lenovo Z580 laptop which has already 4 partitions :
- C: drive (NTFS)
- System drive (NTFS)
- Recovery
- Lenovo (NTFS)
Making a new volume it not permitted, the error saying that dynamic disks are not supported.

Probably your laptop can have max 4 partitions, some manufacturers enforce this. Or you have already created dynamic drives. But, you can try one thing; --> Create 4 partitions, use all disk space you have. --> Use windows to SHRINK a partition. This will make the SHRINK volume as dynamic. If you have any OS installed on that partition you'll not able to boot that OS. --> Now use the UN-ALLOCATED disk space to create a new volume. NOTE : Use DE-fragment utility for the SHRINK partition followed by this procedure. Hope this helps.. |

First, you will have to delete partitions before extending, because those partitions are taking up space in your hard disc. |
