I have a Lenovo Z580 laptop which has already 4 partitions :
- C: drive (NTFS)
- System drive (NTFS)
- Lenovo (NTFS)
Making a new volume it not permitted, the error saying that dynamic disks are not supported.
Probably your laptop can have max 4 partitions, some manufacturers enforce this. Or you have already created dynamic drives.
But, you can try one thing;
--> Create 4 partitions, use all disk space you have. --> Use windows to SHRINK a partition. This will make the SHRINK volume as dynamic. If you have any OS installed on that partition you'll not able to boot that OS.
--> Now use the UN-ALLOCATED disk space to create a new volume.
NOTE : Use DE-fragment utility for the SHRINK partition followed by this procedure.
Hope this helps..
First, you will have to delete partitions before extending, because those partitions are taking up space in your hard disc.
