I encountered a serious audio issue in my laptop (Hp Envy DV6. Windows 8 (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c03508910)). After taking it to the retailer, they gave another new laptop and that one also got the same issue. After working for some time, when playing a song or getting a sound from a windows message, before the sound, I get a loud pop sound from the right side. When that happens, ven the audio jack is not working. (Can't plug in a head phone or a speaker)!
After using it for nearly 6 hours, I tried to adjust the volume... When adjusting the volume, we normally get a small beep right? this time, just before the beep, it gave a loud pop from the right side of the machine. Its like a small explosion. If I play a song, before the fist sound comes through the speaker, I can hear the sound and after that, it won't be there. But if I pause it for about 30 seconds and play again, I can again hear that sound! While thats happening, if I plug an external speaker or a headphone, no sound will come through them...
no sound at all through an external device and from the internal speaker, the sound starts with a small explosion...
I just installed Linux and in there, there's no issue. But when I switch back to Windows, the issue is there! Please help me!
