How can I check the cross-browser compatibility for my webpages?

I have already checked Adobe BrowserLab, but I can check my webpages only if they are already posted on the internet. I need to test them during development.

How could I do that?

BrowserLab should be able to do that, I'm pretty sure there would be no purpose for such a program if it couldn't test local websites. It's even listed in the features: "Preview local, intranet, and CMS content" –  slhck Jan 6 '13 at 13:43

You could also install a few different browsers and check directly. –  terdon Jan 6 '13 at 14:06

@terdon : I tried doing the same. I checked in chrome, firefox, safari,IE and it was fine. But when I tried opening in Rockmelt the alignments of different html elements were not proper. –  dig_123 Jan 6 '13 at 14:42
