Out of curiosity I am wondering if it is possible to acces the 4GB flash memory of the Seagate Momentus XT hybrid hard disk drive. I don't want to write to it, I just want to see what files are stored there.

I'm on a MacBook Pro with 10.6.8 and I have the Momentus XT drive in a Firewire enclosure. The HDD was used for several months as the main system HDD, but now it sits in the enclosure as it started giving I/O errors.

I don't think files are stored there, only raw blocks. – Ignacio Vazquez-Abrams Jan 6 at 22:29
