I have followed all the instructions for transferring my already purchased apps to my iMac and am told that they are all downloaded but they are no where on the iMac.

Did you run a search for them? Perhaps they're there, but not where you'd expect. I don't know how the Mac store works, but try going to one and asking it to download manually. Try the settings, and see if they tell you where downloaded apps go. Also, is the store available from their website? Perhaps you'd have more luck there. Lastly, perhaps there's something you need to do in order to see or use the apps. Log in as admin, reboot, something like that. Perhaps your Apple account isn't set up properly. – Ariane Jan 11 '13 at 18:22
