I have just installed Windows 8 on my laptop. I now have both Win7 and Win8. What I would like to ask about is that if there is any way to "import" things from Win7 to be used in Win8 - Taskbar shortcuts, Start applications, services installed/loaded on start, applications placed in Windows Registry.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind Regards Patryk

Google for the built in Windows Easy Transfer – Alex K Jan 11 '13 at 15:27
with that work with Windows Registry and 3rd party apps like Google Chrome? I would like to copy settings rather than files physically, because they are all on my D partition (Win7 is on partition C and Win8 on partition E) so preferably they should just share this D partition with all apps installed there :p will Windows Easy Transfer allow that? – user1970395 Jan 11 '13 at 15:39
No idea, run it on 7 & see what it offers to export – Alex K Jan 11 '13 at 15:47
