I got a Powercolor HD 7850 (1 GB, 256-bit) graphics card. I'm using Windows 8. For some reason the image and text quality is very low in both Windows and Chrome.

ClearType is active but text and images still aren't looking good. What's the problem and how can I fix it?

I'm not seeing it. Are you talking about horizontal hinting of glyphs? – Ignacio Vazquez-Abrams Jan 23 '13 at 22:38
Maybe the screen capture is different with what show on the screen if display setting is not using native resolution of the display. Please add the model number of your monitor. Additionally, have you install the driver for your video card? – John Siu Jan 24 '13 at 0:12
What resolution output do you have and what's the native resolution of the monitor? – ChrisF Jan 27 '13 at 21:48
