This is the problem that i am facing :

Connection drops frequently, shows partial webpages etc

Ubuntu Linux

  • Works normally. Loses connection when I try to connect to some sites eg: (mostly sites in the US... I am rt now in Germany)
  • Sometimes restart of browser loads the failed pages.
  • After network is connected, a message is displayed that my domain is ".local". Does this have to do anything with my problem ?

I cannot change anything in the router as its a common connection for all the apartments. Is this a DNS problem ? Any solution would be deeply appreciated.

What do you mean by "connection"? Do you mean you lose your WiFi link to the router? Or do you mean you can't access the Internet and can still ping the router? Or what? – David Schwartz Jan 23 '13 at 23:29
