I'm using this method to trim a video with VLC (2.0.4) without transcoding. Basically, you use the red record button and the trimmed video will be exported to your default videos folder. The tutorial shows an MP4 file will be created, but mine is ASF for some reason. My video is a little bit flickery, which I suspect is coming from the outdated ASF container format. How do I export as a conventional MP4 instead?
