I've got a system setup with (2) XP installs which dual-boots using GAG. I want to add Win8 to another partition and be able to multi-boot either installation of XP or the Win8. Before I do anything, I thought it would be good to get some expert advice from this forum.
I recently installed Win8 to a separate partition on a Vista machine, and saw it put a Windows boot manager on there automatically. So, if I go ahead and install W8 on a separate partition on the XP machine, will it overwrite the GAG boot manager? If so, can I assume all three OSs will be available to choose at boot? Or, do I need to uninstall GAG before I install Windows 8?
Also, can anyone attest to the stability of the W8 boot manager, or should I consider using another one once W8 is installed?
I am not a "super"-user, so please be thorough with any instructions I may need to follow. Thanks for the help, and please advise any issues which I need to consider before taking the plunge!
