I can log into my router using my router IP as expected. However, I get a very slow connection when I'm in the router management web interface. The internet connection is perfect, everything else works flawlessly, but when I access the router page, it frequently lags a lot, and sometimes I can't even do what I want because I get "connection timed out".

Is there any reason for this "router lag" or is it just my particular router being weird?

What make and model of router? Does it do this with different browsers? Is the firmware current? – Dave M Jan 31 '13 at 3:04
DSL-2640B, yes, the firmware is the last available. It happens with different browsers, and different devices (Windows, Linux and Android on a tablet) – Aloc1234 Jan 31 '13 at 12:23
