I am using Amazon route 53 as my DNS service provider.

I would like to resolve my own domain name into an IPv4 address.

Similar to resolving twitter.com into 199.59.148.82, or facebook.com into 173.252.110.27.

What setup should I carry out to achieve the goal?

Thank you

Use A Record to point to IP(s). –  Sachin Shekhar Feb 1 '13 at 23:32

thanks Sachin. I thought A record name was mandatory - only just realised that it is not. –  Howard Feb 2 '13 at 2:01

Simply create an A record without a name. A record name is not mandatory.
