I have a hp pavilion g6 2048ca, it had a headphone jack stuck it in. So i opened the case after some struggle and was able to successfully remove the jack BUT after i put it all back together the computer would turn on with the post and everything but NO Display. Screen flickers once as I press the power button but nothing after that.

  • Tried the new Ram sticks....nothing!!!
  • I did the holding the power button down for 30 sec trick....NO luck there.
  • Then I took out the lcd panel and connected it to different laptop and it works fine.
  • Then i put the LCD panel back in the laptop and connected external monitors via VGA and HDMI to the laptop...."No signal" is all I got on those external monitors.

Any other tricks i could try before i go out and buy a new motherboard.
