We receive .snp snapshot files from legacy MS Access databases out in the field. Our new Windows 7 x64 machines are running Office 2003 and the Snapshot Viewer (SNAPVIEW.EXE), however the vast majority of .snp files we try to open throw an "An error occurred while opening a Snapshot file." error. Once in a while, a file can be opened normally.

I had very little luck trying to find any answers to this after several hours of searching.

I have tried compatibility mode in Windows 7, I've also tried a newer version of the Snapshot Viewer found here. I have also tried changing my default printer (found this suggestion in my searching) but nothing seems to help.

Windows XP SP3 systems with Office 2003 have no problem opening these files. We don't have any Windows 7 x86 systems to test with.
