How can I get my domain back?

Question

I registered a domain using a hosting provider that no longer exists (simply disappeared). I now want to change my domain to a new hosting, but they can't contact them.

In the Whois, the tech support contact is YahooDomains, but because I don't have an account with this domain on YahooDomains, they don't allow support contact.

Does anyone knows how to correct this problem?

The "owner" in the whois is me, so it shouldn't be a problem to prove ownership.

See Nominet's Transfer FAQ ( http://www.nominet.org.uk/registrants/maintain/transfer/FAQ/ ) - Sounds like YahooDomains is your Registar. If it is a .uk domain nominet will transfer it to your new hosting provider for a fee of £10. You need to get your new hosting providers IPS TAG.
