I am using Tor successfully on my pc. but on VirtualBox, OpenSuse is fine with connecting Internet. But failing to start Tor.

FYI:

  • opensuse 11.3
  • i have guest edition installed
  • on VirtualBox settings, Proxy (to connect to Tor) is enabled
  • on the host (Win 7), tor is running as a service.
  • if i try with Vidalia, it's stuck here with "checking network status"
