I'm running the latest version of Chrome Version 24.0.1312.52 on OS X 10.8.2. If I leave it in the background for some time (could be anywhere from a few seconds to tens of minutes, it's really finicky) then try to bring it to the foreground, it freezes for a second or two. I usually go straight to CMD+L after switching to it to go to the URL bar, but it just does nothing and doesn't respond to clicks or keypresses for about 2 seconds.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I don't have this issue with Safari.

EDIT: I just realized that this happens even when Chrome has been left idle in the foreground for some time.
