Is there any way to import settings (mainly bookmarks and passwords) from old Chrome/Firefox profile? That is I've Google and Firefox user data directories from my other computer from which I'd like to import things. By default Chrome offers only importing settings from current Firefox profile of the user, no possibility to choose.
I've already spent some time trying to find a solution but it seems that Google intentionally doesn't offer such option to force Chrome Sync or other online bookmark/password store crap down everyone's throat (same with RSS).
I think converting old Chrome/Firefox bookmarks to Netscape bookmark format won't be such a problem though I'd welcome some FLOSS utility for that. Do you know any?
However I'm struggling to find old Chrome passwords. I've tried to open
~/backup/.config/google-chrome/Default/Login Data sqlite database and select everything from
logins table but there isn't single row. How can I recover passwords from old Chrome profile directory please?
EDIT: Oh, sure, I could try to just put old
google-config directory to ~/.config. But it doesn't have passwords in it and I'm interested in some extension/utility to do (for Firefox profile too).
