CPU freeze for 15 - 20mins only during boot up from S4 state

I have a doubt about my CPU with AMI BIOS.

I always get a hang at BIOS check point 75 & 78 (especially 78 for more than 15mins)

And the odd thing is that this only happen when CPU boot up from the S4 state.

75 Initialize Int-13 and prepare for IPL detection. 78 Initializes IPL devices controlled by BIOS and option ROMs.

	Have you seen if there is an update for your BIOS? Anything else that might help? CPU, motherboard? Any oddball device? Can you try disconnecting disks, network, ... (every device that isn't essential) and starting with a LiveCD, and trying again (to discard as many devices that might be causing this as possible)? – vonbrand Feb 21 at 13:25
	I think I am wrong with saying the CPU entered S4 state - I was been informed that the CPU were set in the way that it will never enter S4 state but S5 state. I am repeating the problem over and over again and finally come with this - does CPU get hanged easier with the sol activated at the IPL initialization? – yun Feb 28 at 7:53
