network-manager on my recently installed min14 is not seeing networks around. i have an acer aspire with a wifi-button. there are two ways to turn the wlan0on/ off,

ifconfig wlan0 down is working, as well as ifconfig wlan0 up. when wlan0 is up network-manager is saying that there are no networks. if i restart network-manager the wlan0 goes down automatically (ifconfig).

now im running mint live and wlan is working fine.
