Possible Duplicate:
What is the easiest video editing program to use on Windows

hi,

i want to edit videos, i'm looking for a good, premiere like software.

but it seems premiere it self is too much for me... frankly i can see how those settings can be helpful for any one.. but it doesn't matter.

i've just imported an HD video from my new camera (CS4), first, it cut most of the video, and second, it actually made the quality worse...

i've tried a few free, programs, but as soon as i've seen the GUI of those, i closed them... i really like premier, but i honestly don't understand who needs all this PAL/DV stuff... is there any similar application that intend to more intermediate users?

tahnks.

Adobe Premier is one of the best out there but if you don't like that then...
Windows Movie Maker if comes for free of course if you have the Windows OS.
Alternatively if you have the mool to spend then you could check out Sony Vegas Pro. May cost you around $500.

EDIT As Robert says... Sony Vegas Pro would be too high a version for you... so

Vegas Movie Studio HD @ around $40 or
Vegas Movie Studio Platinum @ around $85

More info at Sony's website here..

Sony Vegas Movie Studio is about $40. The Platinum edition is closer to $80. Both will be more than adequate for @Itay: amazon.com/s/… . The Pro version is for professionals; way overkill. – Robert Cartaino Oct 17 '09 at 4:56

My sister, who enjoys home video editing, swears over Cyberlink PowerDirector. She's been making quite impressive stuff (I only wish I had an artistic inclination). The interface seems very nice and I believe in line with what you wish. And the price (under $100 USD) is very attractive too.

Remember when using Premiere CS4 the preview will make it look worse if you didn't render it. If you are talking about the final output video make sure you are choosing a hi-def output format.

I've only used Premiere and Final Cut (mac) but I hear good things about Sony Vegas
