I asked a related question, but perhaps this is what I really need to know.
If you launch a pipe like so, with a .mpg file muxed as "MPEG-TS":
gst-launch-0.10 filesrc location=./test.mpg ! udpsink host=127.0.0.1 port=1234
You get no MPEG-TS protocol over UDP (verified with Wireshark).
But, if you launch it like so:
gst-launch-0.10 filesrc location=./test.mpg ! mpegtsdemux ! queue ! mpegtsmux ! udpsink host=127.0.0.1 port=1234 sync=TRUE
It sends all the MPEG-TS protocol stuff (error correction, etc.).
Is it the file that doesn't have this info, or does the
filesrc strip this from it?
