I am trying to download a dataset (bigger than 1 GB) using wget:

wget http://cistrome.dfci.harvard.edu/MACSNatureProtocol/HAIB_T47D_FoxA1.tar.gz

However, I always get the following error message:

Cannot write to “HAIB_T47D_FoxA1.tar.gz” (Input/output error).

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Hi Rahul,Thanks for your answer first. The space should be enough for this dataset. I home.bull.sharcnet:/bull_home/myaccount nfs 4.5T 707G 3.7T 16% /home/account. –  user1503 Mar 14 '13 at 11:26

@user1503 The error may come due to two reason's 1) The location where you are trying to save the file doesn't exist. 2) or when there is an issue with the Disk storage itself. Are the other read write operations fine from the same location ? –  rahul Mar 14 '13 at 12:57
