My host OS is Ubuntu and guest is a Gentoo-based distribution virtualized by QEMU with
qemu-system-i386 -kernel kernel.img -append root=/dev/sda -hda Main.dd -hdb Local.dd -hdc Var.dd -net nic,model=virtio -net tap,script=qemu-ifup,downscript=qemu-ifdown
qemu-ifup makes a bridge and a tap if with QEMU virtual machine and the host.
The problem is that although connection is established (pings go guest-host host guest) SSH doesn't work - while SCPing there is an error
ssh: connect to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx port 22: Connection refused.
- sshd is up and running
- I've added "PermitTunnel yes" to config_sshd - didnt work
- Ports are not blocked
