Nutshell: Any time Thunderbird starts now, it requests privilege escalation. I don't want to give it that because it's downloading mail from the internet and is basically THE attack vector on the computer.

So how can I stop Thunderbird from requiring this privilege?

make a rightclick on the Exe and make sure no compatibility settings are enabled for Thunderbird. – magicandre1981 Mar 24 '13 at 6:01
