I have installed Linux mint4 on my laptop and I use internet with a SIM card putting it into a dongle. I know how to use it on windows, but I don't know that on Linux mint4.

How can I access the internet by using a dongle on Linux Mint4?

We will need to know more information about your dongle. What is it? Also, please post the output of these commands (from a terminal): sudo ifconfig, lsusb. – terdon Apr 4 '13 at 16:17
In the past when I've used them they've appeared as a dialup modem with the detailed settings varying based on what phone network you're connecting to. – Col Apr 4 '13 at 16:56
