I am having real problems just trying to install anything on Windows 8. All installers (most of the time msi), start hanging at some point while installing. I can't close them either, unless I find the process in Task Manager.

Even if an installer reacts to a click on a cancel button, it just says "canceling" or something similiar for ever and ever....

Anyone have any ideas what can be done about this?

Are programs that are already installed running properly? – Karan Apr 13 '13 at 17:21
anything that is installed is running ok, as it seems. this is a new System though, so the only things running are Software that had been preinstalled :) – Hans Fortmüller Apr 13 '13 at 17:39
