I have a computer that is having an issue with Internet Explorer. The computer is running Windows XP and IE8. Both are fully patched. The problem is that there are several pages that will come up the following message:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
•Internet connectivity has been lost. •The website is temporarily unavailable. •The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable. •The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain. •There might be a typing error in the address. •If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.
Through some troubleshooting I have found that it only seems to be pages that are posted back to their original page (try searching @ www.mcldaz.org) however other pages that don't post back (like google) work just fine. In addition, if I run IE as a differnet user on the same machine it works just fine. Both users are administrators on the machine. I have tried resetting all the IE settings (privacy, security, advanced, All) back to the defaults, I've purged everything from the temporary internet files (except cookies) and nothing seems to be working.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
