Through the power of the various Stack sites, I've managed to sequence hundreds of jpegs uploaded from a webcam into a timelapse using the following:
mencoder mf://*.jpg -mf fps=60:type=jpg -ovc x264 -x264encopts bitrate=600:threads=2 -o badgercam.mkv
I'd like to add the date and time of each individual file to each frame of the resulting movie. Each image has a file timestamp and apparently mplayer can "hard burn" subtitles (ie: in image, rather than separate sub files). Simples, eh?
Well, aside from this thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1155877 I can't find much about making subtitles at all, and those that I can assume an existing .srt file, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
