Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I want to extract all permission information from a PDF (preferably on the Linux command-line). I know the user and the owner passwords. pdfinfo only shows the state of four permissions:

  • print
  • copy
  • change
  • addNotes

However, pdftk allows me to set a couple more. At least

  • DegradedPrinting – Lower Quality Printing
  • Assembly
  • CopyContents – Also allows ScreenReaders
  • ScreenReaders
  • FillIn

seem to be missing from pdfinfo output.

How do I extract info about these?
