Windows gives a couple options to manage the power of Intel's mobile Centrino wireless card line in the Advanced Power options menu. Does anybody know of a way to manually (ie, not using Windows' power manager) check or change the power management strategy for such cards?

You mean you want to automate it somehow? WMI via wmic/PowerShell/VBScript etc. might provide methods to do so... – Karan Apr 21 '13 at 23:37

Interesting. As a home user, I had no idea that WMI existed - that seems like a pretty severe oversight on my part. I'll look into using that, thanks! – vmkrish Apr 21 '13 at 23:47
