I wanted to try the gnome 3.9 UI on ubuntu 12.04 LTS. So I installed the following ppa

add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get upgrade

Then I added the following ppa for some extra features :

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ricotz/testing

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get upgrade

After this my wifi stopped working and I didnt get the Gnome 3.9 UI. So I uninstalled it but after that I am not able to get the login screen neither gnome nor unity.

I was getting an error could not write bytes : broken pipe .

So I reinstalled the gnome (after removing the above ppa's ) but still it was of no use.

When i log in now i get tty1 and if i start the X server by startx it gives error

Failed to load session "gnome"

I get the Gnome 3.9 login screen with two options
User Defined session
Recovery Console
When I login using User Defined session I get
Failed to load session "gnome"

and if I use the Recovery Console and give the command startx through it says
Xorg :user not authorized

Here is the Xorg log file http://paste.ubuntu.com/5653549/

Please help me how to fix it.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT :

I installed the gnome and i am getting the unity like UI ( i don't know why ) but my wifi is still not working .
