I got my Sony VAIO VGN-AW31ZJ/B with Windows 8 and some old Nvidia drivers. When i go to the download page of Nvidia, it says to me that only the manufacturer can provide me drivers (??!?!?). So I tried to download manually the ones of my graphic card, but during the installation it blocks saying there is no compatible hardware.

So here the point: there is a way to force those drivers to install (with relative software) skipping the initial check?

Furthermore, why I'm not allowed to install those drivers as always?

Obviously Sony does not provide me the latest drivers (otherwise I wouldn't be!).

There are driver distributions that focus on mobile cards and increasing the performance. Although Nvidia switched to doing mobile drivers themselfs awhile ago. You sure Sony has not released any drivers for your card, because, your card is old enough for Sony to have done so. –  Ramhound May 13 '13 at 14:55
