This, stumps me entirely.
I've got a Gateway running Win7. I connect to the internet through a wired Local Area Connection with a Marvell Yukon PCI-E Ethernet.
Problem is, I keep getting Wireless and Broadband Internet Connections I don't want in my Network & Sharing Center. Sometimes they turn themselves on and try to connect (this is irritating). I do not want a wireless connection of any kind on my desktop as I used a wired connection. As well the broadband connection is disabled, not used, and can't be deleted. I can disable the wireless connection, but "delete" is greyed out when right-clicking the connection.
As well, when trying to open properties on the Wireless connection, I get "An unexpected error occurred".
In the Device Manager I have a total of 9 Network Adapters. NONE of the Wan Miniports can be uninstalled. As follows:
Marvel Yukon 88E8071 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller
Wan Miniport (IKEv2)
Wan Miniport (IP)
Wan Miniport (IPV6)
Wan Miniport (L2TP)
Wan Miniport (Network Monitor)
Wan Miniport (PPPOE)
Wan Miniport (PPTP)
Wan Miniport (SSTP)
In Network Connections, I have the following:
Broadband Connection (Disconnected - WAN Miniport PPPOE - can't be deled)
Local Area Connection (Connected - Marvel Yukon)
Wireless Network Connection (Disabled - Realtek - can't be deleted, turns itself on)
So can anyone give me a direction on how to delete the Wireless & Broadband connections? Hopefully I'm posting in the right place. If not, my apologies.
