Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have been looking for some time now and I am a new user to thunderbird, I have applied some filters fine, but now I need to apply filters to emails which come in on a specific folder.

In this example I get a lot of logs which go to a specific folder, but as soon as anything comes in on this folder, I want to mark it as "read"

Can any one assist me here?

Marcus :)

I can't find any means in Thunderbird 17 to have an automatically run filter apply only to messages in a given folder, but perhaps filtering on some combination of From: addresses, subject line contents, &c., might produce the same result? –  Aaron Miller May 20 '13 at 17:01
