What alternatives are there to iTunes? I have an iPod, so it must sync with it. I like the UI, but sometimes it is painfully slow.

MediaMonkey is a fairly powerful music manager that supports syncing to iPods.

There's a great list here of iPod utilities - the app they recommend for syncing music etc. is called Floola.

Songbird is meant to be quite good, and has a similar interface to iTunes.

I use foobar2000 with the iPod Manager plugin. It not only supports synching to a library, but also upload/removal of individial songs or albums.

Sharepod is much faster than iTunes, which is why I use it. In fact, I can't remember the last time I used iTunes. You don't need to install Sharepod (you only need .NET Framework 2 to be installed). I don't think it rips CDs but that's fine by me, I use EAC or CDEx to rip exactly as I like.

I use Winamp with ml_ipod plugin. It's great if you have an older iPod. I use it with my Shuffle 2G. It does not work with the latest iPhone/iTouches.
