We are working on our academic project and the project works fine in our home. In my home, I have a direct broadband connection which I am accessing using a WiFi router and to the same router I have connected my Arduino Microcontroller and assigned it an IP address.
In our college network they have a proxy and there is an authentication to it. The problem is our Arduino Microcontroller will be communicating with the local server which will be getting updates from the web server. The local server is updated every 10 seconds by a Python Cron script which fetches the values from the web server.
To do this, we have a 3G USB modem from which we can connect to the Internet. At the same time, we have to connect to the WiFi/normal router to which we have connected the Microcontroller. If I connect the both to my PC none of the network works i.e. I can't access the Internet as well as I can't connect the Microcontroller.
Someone please help me — what are the alternatives to the solution?
