I was just helping a friend out with an old site he had laying around and updated it a little, I then went into the control panel and noticed there was 38 parked domains so I had a peek at what they were and found they were all similar keyword type names. I then pasted one of the addresses into the browser and it took me to what appeared to be the site i had just updated yet in the browser the url was that of the pasted one i found parked, i tried a few they all did the same thing.

The all said redirected to$1

Why does it say microsoft?

should i disable all of these redirects, is it not duplicating the main sites content across 38 domains making it super bad for SEO?

I have never come accross this before and a search for$1 provided very little information :(

This is not a programming question, and therefore is off topic here. The faq and tour pages have more information about the questions that are proper to ask here. Voting to close as off topic. You may want to visit Super User instead, which is more appropriate for this type of question. Good luck. – Ken White Jun 7 '13 at 0:46
