I have a Raspberry Pi which I'm attempting to use as a range extender for my home wifi network. I've installed and setup hostapd with the same settings as my router, so that any devices will select the strongest signal appropriate to them.
I don't want my Raspberry Pi to provide DNS or DHCP services; I want to send all these requests to my router and let it deal with everything so that it will hand out the static IPs I've configured.
How can I achieve this with iptables?
So far I'm looking at something along the lines of:
iptables --table nat --append PREROUTING --in-interface ap0 --protocol udp --destination-port 67:68 --jump DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.1:67-68 iptables --append FORWARD --protocol udp --in-interface eth0 --destination-port 67:68 --jump ACCEPT
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work.
