I have an Exchange-based email account at work that I typically access via Outlook 2011 on a Mac, but I also access the account via the iOS Mail app on my iPhone, via Outlook Web Access, and occasionally via Outlook 2010 on other Windows 7 computers.
A couple of weeks ago the inbox stopped syncing between Outlook 2011 and the other clients. I do most of my work in Outlook 2011, which involves moving or deleting emails from my inbox such that it's typically pretty clean. However, on the other devices/applications there are a large number of messages and a large number of unread messages.
The non Mac applications are in sync, but do not agree with Outlook 2011, and I'm trying to figure out what's causing the issue and how to fix it. Things I've tried:
- Removing the Exchange account from iOS and re-adding it. Given that OWA matches iOS this seemed unlikely to work, and it didn't.
- Rebuilt the Outlook for Mac 2011 database.
