I am having an issue with my uploading file from my lan system, I have rv110w wireless vpn router to which WAN is connected with 10-20Mbps broadband speed. Through Router the connection goes to 10/100switch and Windows 2008 R2 Server is connected to switch at my server farm. All my LAN systems are connected to two 10/100 switches and uplink to our 10/100 switch which is being placed at my server farm.
I have an application running on our Windows server which takes VPN connection to upload files on to our remote server which has placed at US region. Generally when any of our users completed their files which usually goes to 500MB size on Revit 2012 application, which simultaneously connects to our central US server through VPN.
The problem arises when users trying to upload their files to our central server it takes upto 1 hour to upload or sync with our central server.
And frequently when I am pinging to our Router(rv110w) from any of my LAN System, I have noticed that ping goes to 1000ms and sometime I need to restart my router.
My question is does having a 10/100 switches and router in between our Local Server NIC Card and LAN system NIC cards slow down the speed of our internet?
Please do help me to resolve my issue.
