I'm new to GIT and specifically, GIT with Xcode.

I'm really confused on how to edit a branch of a project.

I have retrieved a GIT project from the repository via the Organizer window. I then created a branch and switched to it. The Organizer window confirms that the branch I want to work on is the current one.

But now how do I edit the files in that branch? If I open the project and edit a file, it's not shown as updated in the Organizer window, so it appears I'm not editing the actual files in the branch.

Where do branched projects live on my local machine? Do I need to open that directory as a project manually?
