First of all, sorry my english, it's not my primary language, also, I've renamed website names among others to keep my client's privacy.
So here is the setup:
I have one customer with a Watchguard firewall appliance and 2 ADSL lines, one of this lines has a VPN (lan-to-lan).
Both of these ADSL lines come from Draytek routers, however, I don't have access to the second one, since it was installed specificaly to work with site www.something.com by a different contractor.
So, this would be simple, as the Watchguard has Policy Based Routing, however, this license in question only allows Failover, not P.B.R.
Fine, I've configured a policy so that ALL the traffic that came from that particular machine (where the access to something.com is needed) goes through the second ADSL line (the one with the VPN).
So far so good, until the customer tells me that some websites cannot be opened, and some take too long to open, and this didn't happen on the first ADSL line.
In short, my question is:
- Does it worth it to install a VM with some software router?
- Does anyone knows some software that can be installed on the machine to
My objective would be:
All the traffic from machine X goes to the 1st ADSL line, except, something.com (which has a fixed IP inside the VPN) that would go by the 2nd ADSL line.
Thanks. I'll try to make it more clear if doubts come up.
