When I am using Photoshop, it doesn't display the color grey correctly. Usually when I use the color picker tool, it shows different shades of the color grey on the left hand side. But now, even if I input the color code explicitly as #757575, it displays a color which is more brown than darkgrey. I don't have any idea what would could cause this problem. Same problem occured also in illustrator. I am using RGB color mode.

I really hope someone knows the answer.

Thanks a lot daxlerod for leading me into right place. I got my problem solved. I just had to put color settings to monitor color. Again, thanks a lot ! – Martin Kõiv Jul 4 '13 at 17:11

Regardless of how it LOOKS to you, #757575 is always grey. It sounds like a you have the wrong colour profile set for your monitor, giving greys the impression of being brown.
