I have a Gateway NE series laptop originally running Windows 8. I've had it since November and each time I turn it on a black screen with a blue box appears that says, "Windows Boot Manager, Boot failed.", the next screen says, "No Bootable Device. Hit any key." After hitting a key a grey screen appears that says: Boot option menu 1. Windows Boot Manager (Hitachi HTS543232A7A384) After choosing that option it brings me back to the first screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing it's not been doing this since November. What did you do recently that might have caused this? Did you modify any BIOS/UEFI settings, perhaps while attempting to boot off another drive? Try a Linux LiveCD/USB and confirm the drive hasn't failed completely. –  Karan Jul 7 '13 at 21:28
