ok, looks like the Intel Storage driver causes this bugcheck (BSOD):

*                                                                             *

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT (4e)
Typically caused by drivers passing bad memory descriptor lists (ie: calling
MmUnlockPages twice with the same list, etc). If a kernel debugger is
available get the stack trace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000007, A driver has unlocked a page more times than it locked it
Arg2: 000000000043bce3, page frame number
Arg3: 0000000000000001, current share count
Arg4: 0000000000000000, 0

So use the latest driver from Intel and not the older driver which Dell offers for your XPS 17 (L702X).

  • This has had a dramatic effect in that now I can run Windows normally without any troubles. However, my second HDD still does not appear in My Computer. Do you know why that might be? Jul 13, 2013 at 11:11

    IMO this answer would be greatly improved if you were to explain how you went from the dump file to the above fairly readable dump, and which tools might allow someone else to do it. As it stands, this answer doesn't really help anyone but the OP.

  • @SwanWhisperer is the HDD detected in the BIOS/UEFI? You should create a new question about it. Jul 13, 2013 at 14:25

    @Michael Kjörling open the dump in Windbg and run analyze -v Jul 13, 2013 at 14:25
  • @magicandre1981: His second HDD isn't being detected by the BIOS, and don't ask him to create a new question since he's created two already for it: 1, 2.
