Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

The general structure of any URI is

service://username:password@ip.address.or.host.domain

The question is:

How to enter the "windows-domain" into the username?

The next not works (at least for me), so asking a correct syntax:

service://domain\username:password@ip.address.or.host.domain
service://domain\\username:password@ip.address.or.host.domain

My VNC client accepts the next URI:

vnc://user:password@1.2.3.4

but need add the windows-domain somewhat...

does vnc:user%40domain:password@1.2.3.4 work? %40 is the encoded form of @ –  Scott Chamberlain Jul 16 '13 at 6:06
