I'm looking to move a group of 4 physical server to become VM guests. The physical machines heartbeat each other and if one fails to respond IPMI is used to power the machine off and back on. This is to prevent split-brain.

In moving to the virtual world, do any of the hypervisors (VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM, etc) provide a way for one guest to control the power state of another guest?
