In CentOS (5.9) (gnome 2.16.0) when I browse through folders using nautilus as opposed to the terminal, whenever I click a subdirectory it opens in a separate window leaving the parent window still open and behind what has just spawned.

Though most of the time I browse using the terminal, every now and then it is nice to be able to browse directories without the use of nautilus, however closing out of multiple windows I have only used once to navigate to others is annoying.

Is there a way to set this so the current window will change directories as opposed to opening a new one?
