I have an Olympus Mju digital camera and I've lost my camera USB cable. Because Olympus is one of those vampire companies who do their best to suck more money from you, the USB cable is nothing similar to anything I have at home (mini USB, micro USB etc). I'm not gonna buy a new one.
In the camera, I use microSD card via Olympus MASD-1 microSD attachment. But when I pull it out and put it into normal microSD to SD adapter the PC cannot read the card. The windows Explorer lags for a while, then prompts me to format the card. That's something I don't wanna do.
My PC runs Windows 7 home premium, and the microSD adapter normally works with other microSD cards (for example with the one from my phone).
Does Olympus also use some other filesystem? Is there some application that can read diferent data formats?(seems that the filesystem should be ok)
- Could a damaged card work so perfectly in the camera? If the card really is damaged, how to get the data out anyway?
Note 1: The card is all right. I can take more photos, display and edit the old.
Note 2: Images are linked externally on purpose. They aren't necessary to understand the question.
